Welcome to the Belfast Woodstock Rhythm & Blues Festival

Hello! We’re back again and offering a warm Belfast welcome to all music fans to join us in the 4th annual Woodstock Rhythm & Blues Festival.

There has been an unprecedented level of interest from artists this year, so much so in fact, that we must take this opportunity to express our thanks to all those who are taking part and also give our sincere apologies to those that we simply were unable to include in this year’s festival billing which has even more venues added than ever before.

On a sad note, this year has seen the music world jolted by the sudden passing of one of Belfast’s true guitar legends and son of East Belfast: Gary Moore.
Gary Moore He was surely one of the finest, most eloquent blues players you could wish to hear and will be sadly missed by us all. It is, therefore our intention to honour Gary and his family by dedicating this year’s festival to him and pay him a fitting tribute.

From honouring one legend to presenting another – a definite highlight this year will be the return to Belfast of (Big) Jim Armstrong! Now living in Las Vegas, Jim will be reuniting with some of his old colleagues to recreate those heady nights (if you can remember them) from The Pound & The Errigle Inn. The true veterans of the three previous Woodstock festivals will be standing shoulder to shoulder with our featured up and coming wealth of talent. New bands and new sounds intertwined with your favourites of old, this is what The Woodstock Rhythm & Blues Festival is all about and is more than proud to be host to such fine musicians this year.

We must thank our many sponsors, all the local businesses and friends who have contributed their own time and money to help make this event the success it has become. There are too many to mention here but we truly could not have done it without you all so please accept our heartfelt thanks from all the festival team for your continued assistance.

Lastly, we also hope that YOU, our public, come along as you have before in droves to support these superb musicians and be part of The 2011 Woodstock Rhythm & Blues Festival! Looking forward to seeing you there!

!!!VENUE CHANGE!!!
Hi folks, as some of you may be aware the Edge Bar has closed! This gig will now be held on the Thursday night in the Longfellow Bar. All tickets remain valid, but if you do require a refund then just return your ticket to the place of purchase and a full refund will be given.
